THE BEER / GIN MILE 2023
1 MILE | 4 BEERS / 4 GINS | 1 WINNER
It sounds easy, but it isn't!
The beer and gin mile is all about having fun and competing for bragging rights. Running and drinking enthusiasts alike come together to test their fitness levels and stomach capacity in a race to consume four beers or four gins over a distance of 1.6km faster than other competitors. Some do it for the fun and entertainment, for others, this is where all those hours training in the pub count. Or simply take your time and enjoy the company of friends - with some laughs in between.

The race begins with competitors lined up at the starting line. They tap the timing pod to start the clock and run 20m to the drinking zone. Here participants will drink the first drink. Once finished, they then run a 400m lap round the pitch and return to the drinking zone and consume the 2nd drink. This is repeated until they cross the finish line and tap the timing pod to record their time.
Team Entries
Team entries will complete their race in a relay format.
Meaning one team member will do this mile before the next team member is allowed to start.
PENALTIES
If you throw up, there is a 1 minute time and shooter penalty.
