The S2T 'Sea2Tower' is the 'Up-Run' route of the TOWER2SEA. The S2T starts in the heart of Knysna and finishes at the top of the Knysna Forest. With 4 routes to choose from, the S2T offers a variety of distances that cater for most fitness levels.
It is a very challenging yet beautiful route with epic views where runners will start off at sea level, wind their way up through the Knysna forest, before climbing a 6m steel ladder into the Forest Tower itself. Finishers will be greeted with spectacular views over the surrounding forest, mountains and valleys.

THE ROUTES
NEW GPS FILES AVAILABLE
The 35KM route will start up at Simola Country Club while the remaining distances will start on Thesen Island in Knysna. Each route will follows the gravel roads of Gouna Road, Kom-Se-Pad and the R339. However, runners will be taken onto numerous loops and trail section through the Knysna Forest. Explore a portion of the stunning Outeniqua Hiking Trail and run the quiet and peaceful Elephant Hiking Trail.

REGISTRATION and RACE BRIEFING
Instead, Registration and Race Briefing will take place on Saturday morning on the grass area next to Sirocco on Thesen Island before the start of the race.

RACE START
All runners are required to leave their car on Thesen Island.
After race briefing, the 35KM runners will be shuttled up to the start line at Simola.
43KM, 50KM and 56KM runners will start their race on Thesen Island at 05H00
35KM runners will start their race at 05H30.
CHECK POINTS / WATER POINTS
Ensure you have enough nutrition and food with you.
There are taps at some of the picnic spots along the route.
There are STRICT CUT-OFF times at each check-point.
Runner will be pulled off the course if they have not reached each check-point within the specified time.

FINISH LINE
The Finish Line is situated at Buffeslnek Fire Tower up in the mountains.
All finisher will receive a finishers medal, finish shirt, a boerewors roll and cold beer.
A shuttle will take runners back down to Thesen Island when its full.
SUPPORT / SECONDING
Participants are allowed a supporter follow them on the route and provide any nutritional support.
They are also allowed to second their athlete.
