The 2023 Backyard Ultra Series kicks off at Taroko Trail Park in Modderfontein Nature Reserve.
Taroko Trails was the host of the SA Team Champs and is the perfect location to get the series underway.

Silver Ticket Event:
Taroko Trail Backyard Ultra is a ‘Silver Ticket’ event meaning that the winners of the Silver Ticket events will have a place on the national team and compete against the rest of the World at the Backyard Ultra World Team Champs - 15th of October 2023.
The Route
The route is also supporter and spectator friendly as the majority of the route can be seen from the Start / Finish area. The Start / Finish area is situated right next to an open field which allows athletes to be able to set up their gazebos / tents close at hand. The Fourways Farmers Market will also be open if your supporters need a little break and some entertainment.
