Set in the majestic Versamel Mountains on the border between KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga, ORIGINS ULTRA TRAIL is a trail runner's paradise. With four epic trail run routes to choose from – 50KM, 20KM, 10KM or 5KM, the ORIGINS ULTRA TRAIL offers a race to suit every trail runner.
Runners will enjoy beautiful untouched and yet runnable mountain trails that boast a variety of trail running terrain - rocky trails, animal paths, jeep track, technical single track, steep climbs and fast descends - with incredible views along the entire route. The 20KM, 10KM and 5KM will take runners around Wetlands Game Lodge while the 50KM is a self navigate trial run through neighbouring Donkerhoek. Run past the source of the Pongola River and immerse yourself in nature surrounded by buffalo, buck and other animals as you traverse through the Donkerhoek wilderness and experience trail running at its very finest.
ORIGINS ULTRA TRAIL starts and finishes at Wetlands Game Lodge, which is situated a short 3 hour drive from Gauteng. Luxury accommodation is available at Wetlands Game Lodge, with alternative accommodation options in the local town of Wakkerstroom 6km away.
With well stocked water points en-route, entertainment, delicious food, great apparel for sale and wide open spaces, the ORIGINS ULTRA TRAIL offers an adventurous and unforgettable weekend away.

ACCOMMODATION & TRAVEL
ORIGINS ULTRA TRAIL will take place at Wetlands Game Lodge. Situated 6.5km outside of Wakkerstroom, Wetlands Game Lodge is a quick three-and-a-half-hour drive from Johannesburg or Pretoria. This stunning location is nestled in the majestic Versamel Mountains, on the border between Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal.

Participants can book accommodation for the ORIGINS ULTRA TRAIL and enjoy comfort and luxury. With comfortable rooms and natural beauty with stunning views to relax after a great day on the trails, Wetlands offers the perfect spot to start and end your trail challenge. Each room has two single beds with an en-suite bathroom. Accommodation is on a per person sharing basis.

ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATION
Wakkerstroom, is the second oldest town in Mpumalanga province, South Africa. The town is on the KwaZulu-Natal border, 27 km east of Volksrust and 56 km south-east of Amersfoort. It is also a world renowned birding destination with lots of quirky shops, restaurants and plenty of accommodation to choose from.

WAITING LIST
Once entries are full, you may register on the waiting list. If entries become available due to cancellations, the next person on the waiting list will be contacted by email. If the entry is not accepted within a 2 day time frame, the next person on the list will be contacted.
SUBSTITUTIONS
Substitutions can be made, but it is the withdrawing participant's responsibility to find a substitute replacement. A fee of R150 will be charged for all substitutions. Contact us to request a substitution at info@wannado.co.za.
REFUND POLICY
The event organisers will refund:
